      @thewillrussell I got that same error updating something else last night, and then it worked fine a few minutes later. Maybe something's up with GitHub.

      @YFZdude ,

      Read your post. Didn't know there was a 3D option.
      I had some Yellow/Blue glasses laying around and tested them.
      They are from a "Konig electronics" 2d to 3d video converter.
      As you know, these glasses are not perfect, but It worked quite well on a normal monitor i must say.
      The palette does not work in "anaglyph 3d modus". It all seems to be"white-ish".

      I will also try my 3D TV with shutterglasses.
      Seems all the 3d options are there !

      @Jiryn said in Can you change the Virtual Boy color?:

      Is that the command-X quick key when in game?

      Yes, that's how you access it. There should be an Options menu entry in the list, enter it (A) and then you can change that option (use the D-Pad). After setting it, just exit and restart the game.

      EDIT: you also change the palette to B&W (instead of black and red) from the same Options menu.

      Thank you so much!

      Adding this line to Mednafen VB.cfg:

      video_refresh_rate = “50.0”

      Fixes the timing issue, hope this post helps anyone with the same issue. Runs great now!

      ( btw, definitely lower the audio_out_rate to around 33200 or something like that, and sample fidelity to lower and add some audio time skew, no framedrops or sound skips now that I could notice even when playing in 3d )

      Hi @sixspeeddeath

      Im trying the same thing on my tv. The crosstalk you are talking about is caused by the distance between eyes, you need to move the warning message so if you see it without 3d lenses it overlaps with each other.

      I edited the first lines of the glsl to this

      #define eye_sep 0.605
      #define y_loc 0.32
      #define ana_zoom 1.3
      #define WIDTH 2.4
      #define BOTH 0.52
      #define HEIGHT 2.4
      #define palette 1.0
      #define warpX 0.00
      #define warpY 0.00

      and now its almost perfect on my tv anyway (and LG 3d with passive lenses).
      The only problem I have now its that the result image only uses 50% of the tv realstate

      SOLVED! I figured it out, it was exactly what I thought it was, my own issue and I am a dumbass. Since the config was saying "no config found for virtual bou" I knew there had to be a typo somewhere. I checked the configs the other day and didn't see a typo, BUT it was on the command line of the code that I couldn't see (it is too long) because I couldn't scroll with my controller, I plugged in my keyboard and when I scrolled over on the command line and sure enough I had typed in "virtual bou" since "y" is next to "u" that was my bad. I corrected the letter, restarted ES and boom good to go!

      ok for mods/admins to mark this as SOLVED if needed, this was totally my issue! I guess for others with future reference if it says "no config found for <system>" check the command line and SCROLL OVER to see what you typed. I'm truly an idiot!

      @backstander sounds good. I'll lookup putty when I get the system up. I'm planning to backup a copy of the SD card image somehow as well since the first SD card I had became corrupted so i erased it and couldn't figure out how to get the damn image to work. So I had the seller ship me out a freshly imaged sd card and I want to load those 3 systems and looks like I'll have to do it in that putty system.

      Wish I had just ordered my pi from someone who could have loaded the emulators and the controllers before sending it to me. Would have saved me all sorts of research and time and could have just dropped the roms in.

      @herb_fargus

      Much appreciated. I set my /opt/retropie/configs/virtualboy/retroarch.cfg accordingly. I've never experienced a crash myself, but I'd hate for it to happen after a long unsaved play session.

      I just ran through the first level of 'Virtual Boy Wario Land' using red/blue, red/cyan, red/green and green/magenta glasses and I couldn't personally tell a difference in the quality of the 3D effect. However, it seemed to me that the one that should be avoided the most would be red/green as it renders everything in in yellow tones and after extended play sessions, that will likely disrupt the ability to perceive color in the real world for a good ten minutes to half an hour afterwards in a big way.

      @mediamogul is the only 3D option a Red/Blue, or is there an option for side by side (my TV can create 3D from a side by side)?

      I'm not fully up to trot on "Shaders" but while browsing around, there was some mention that somehow, I may be able to smash the shader and Retropie bits together and get a side by side 3D?

      Ultimate goal: Raspberry Pi 3 B outputs 3D signal over HDMI, OR a side by side 3D image with the TV converting to a 3D image.

      Or it could be impossible, I'm not sure.

      @bmn001 many emulators arent included with new installs. There is too many that they lightened the install for size purposes.
